Mission

Universities Austria is the voice of public universities in Austria. The efficiency of its efforts depends on the unity of its members. The authority of Universities Austria is derived from the identification of each individual university rectorate with the association's resolutions and decisions. This authority comprises the basis for our mission. Universities Austria is the official representative organisation of the Austrian universities. As such it is responsible for asserting the requests the universities have on society, the private sector and government for the purpose of ensuring the future of university education and research in Austria.
