Brief Summary of the Bologna-Projects
From May 2008 until June 2010 Universities Austria had been conducting three projects related to the Bologna Process, involving doctoral programmes, employability of BA and MA degree holders and non-formal and informal learning. The projects’ aim was to support Austria’s public universities in taking an active part in the transformation process of topics of national and international interest. By organising workshops and conferences Universities Austria provided platforms for information exchange, discussions and networking and could give impulses for the implementation of some Bologna action lines.
After two years of successful work Universities Austria, especially the project team (Karin Hofer, Nadine Jauk, Elisabeth Westphal) is very satisfied by the outcome of each project. The very positive feedback of national and international participants and the acceptance of the services provided, confirmed the importance of our work. The realisation of the predefined goals showed the necessity of information-exchange as well as the need of action in these particular fields.
At last Universities Austria would like to thank the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research, the EUA-Council for Doctoral Education and the Medical University of Vienna, University of Salzburg, University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, University of Graz, Vienna University of Economics and Business and the University of Innsbruck for supporting and enabling our Bologna projects.
